Dora the Explorer, Casa de Dora: New Adventures

Project Overview

Created for Nick Jr. while at Workinman. I worked with another programmer on this project, an artist, and a project manager. Our team exceeded expectations and we were able to ship ahead of schedule.

Game Summary

Dora needs some help around the house. Match items, cook, dress-up and much more with Dora as you explore her house! Play from a browser or the Nick Jr. app on compatible devices (iOS, Android).

Role: Gameplay Programmer

• Implemented all of Dora's movement and room interactions. Setup all triggers throughout the house and yard.
• Architected a DCC system to streamline the development of the cooking minigames.
• Scripted all recipe, matching, and dress-up minigames.
• Optimized game performance on low-end devices. Ensured all specified platforms and devices ran to specifications.
